Touching History
Unlike a traditional museum experience where visitors can only view exhibits, visitors can touch a real ancient archaeological items and potsherds that were discovered in and around the sites where Jesus and His disciples lived and ministered in the Holy Land.
Flavors of the Holy Land
Tasting stations are available for visitors to sample wine, olive oil, and other foods common in first century, prepared with the same ingredients used in the time of Jesus. Visitors can also dine at the adjacent restaurant serving biblical foods prepared using authentic methods.
Hands-On Activities
Many of these special activities are designed with younger visitors in mind.
Optional Activities may include:
- Virtual Back-in-Time Photo Booths: Visitors can photograph themselves wearing typical clothes of the era as participants in the events in the life of Jesus, standing at a biblical site, or sitting on a camel or donkey.
- Simulated Archaeological Dig
- Virtual Prayer Request: Send a prayer request that will be placed in the sacred sites of the Holy Land.
- Restore Ancient-Style Vessels
- Cooking Workshops: Learn how to bake bread in a tabun oven, in same style used during the time of Jesus.
- Pottery And Glass-Making Workshops: Live demonstrations of first-century techniques.
- Jesus Around the World: Kids add their own drawing of Jesus on a specially designed artist screen.
- Computer Games: Specially designed Bible games developed specifically for the exhibition.
